Bliss

It's a beautiful day, the garden is coming up nicely, children are happy and healthy, baby is kicking, I have a wonderful husband, my brother is visiting, AND I just finished a batch of cookies! Now that's bliss;)
.
The first part of this pregnancy I was very sick, but I feel great now. This is the fun part of being pregnant. I love felling the baby moving around, and so do the children. We had a sonogram Wednesday and everyone came along for the "show". My doctor brought a specialist in to look at the sonogram to see if he could find "anything". I wasn't worried though, we know that all children are a blessing. The baby looks great and is already measuring a little big. Cameron and Abigail had so much fun getting to see the new baby, and Kaitlin thought the images on the screen were clouds!
.
We've been enjoying a nice visit with my brother. He leaves for Afghanistan in July, so this will be our last chance to see him before he goes. I have another brother in Germany with his wife, they should be back in the states by the end of the year though. I am so proud of them.
.
How's your "summer beginnings" going? Do you have any summer plans? We will be working in the garden, swimming, preparing for the baby, and going on some short trips.
.
Oh, that's the baby's foot in the picture. They were trying to measure the legs, and baby didn't like all the poking around so he/she gave them a good kick;)

I LOVE the little foot! Glad to hear you are feeling well:-)

Thanks for mentioning Maidens of Virtue on my blog...I'll be adding that to my wish list! I also just learned to knit/crochet...I'm stuck at square dishclothes! So fun to make!

Happy Monday!

sounds like bliss to me! I just posted all about my summer plans on Danielle's site... so I'll try to keep short, lol!

We are attempting to buy a little farm and if it goes through we will no longer be "town" people. :) This should pretty much take up my whole summer. The 100 year old farm house needs a LOT of work. In the mean time I've got my garden in here... we'll see how that goes!

ps: my brother just got out of the army after 3 tours in Afghanistan. It was hard having him there, btu God is SO good, and protected him while many of his team did not return. This last Memorial Day was like Thanksgiving at our house. I'll be praying for your brother! *hugs*

You will love that book! I'll let you know how my "knitting lessons"
go. Hopefully I'll be able to teach Abigail some too, she really wants to learn also. Good luck on those dishcloths!

Amy

Thanks for checking in. It feels great to finally feel better. I think this little one is going to be feisty!
